Terms & conditions
Effective September 13, 2026 · Last updated September 13, 2026
1. Your agreement with Boise Meet
These Terms & Conditions are an agreement between you and Makeable Brand LLC, the operator of Boise Meet (“we,” “us,” or “our”). They govern your account and use of the Boise Meet website and installed web app (the “service”). By affirmatively accepting these terms during signup, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not create an account.
Our Privacy Policy explains our information practices. Accepting these terms does not waive privacy rights or authorize unrelated marketing. You can open, save, or print both documents for your records. We record the date and versions presented during signup.
2. Who can use the service
You must be at least 18 years old, legally able to enter into this agreement, and permitted by applicable law to use the service. You must live in Boise or the surrounding Treasure Valley area, or genuinely plan to move to the area within three months. The purpose is to help people meet locally; selecting a location from our list is not proof of eligibility.
Use the service only for yourself, with accurate information and an email address you control. Do not create accounts for other people, misrepresent your age or location, impersonate anyone, or evade a suspension or removal. We may remove accounts that do not meet these requirements, including accounts that falsely claim an upcoming move.
You may not use the service if you are required to register as a sex offender or if a court order prohibits your participation or the contact you seek. We do not conduct criminal background checks, sex-offender registry checks, or identity verification. These eligibility rules are not a representation that every member meets them.
3. Accounts and sign-in
We send a time-limited code to your email to verify access. Keep your email and codes secure and do not share your account. Email verification establishes access to an inbox; it does not establish a person’s identity, age, character, or safety. Tell us promptly if you believe your account is being misused.
You are responsible for the information and activity you authorize through your account. We may limit attempts, require additional verification, or suspend access when reasonably necessary for security. We do not guarantee that an email or notification will arrive immediately or that a particular username, profile, or connection will remain available.
4. A free local service
Boise Meet currently provides profiles, discovery, likes and opening messages, mutual matches, text conversations, local event listings, and optional device notifications. There are no account fees, paid subscriptions, or in-app purchases. Your internet or mobile provider may charge for connectivity. Third-party events may have separate charges disclosed by their organizers; those are not Boise Meet account fees.
A like does not guarantee a match, a reply, or a relationship. No particular number of profiles or successful introductions is promised. Some profiles are clearly marked Test and are fictional accounts used to test the service. Do not treat them as real dating participants. Unmarked profiles are not thereby verified or endorsed.
We may maintain, change, suspend, or discontinue features or the service. We will provide notice where reasonably practical or legally required. This does not authorize undisclosed charges; any future paid offering would require separate clear terms and affirmative authorization before a charge.
5. Community rules
Be truthful, respectful, and considerate of other people’s boundaries. You must not:
- Harass, stalk, threaten, intimidate, discriminate unlawfully, promote hate or violence, or keep contacting someone who has declined or blocked you.
- Post sexual exploitation material, nudity or explicit sexual content, nonconsensual intimate imagery (including altered or AI-generated imagery), or any content that sexualizes a minor. Do not use profile photos depicting minors.
- Impersonate others, use stolen or misleading profile images, publish someone’s private information without permission, or create deceptive accounts. Operator-created accounts expressly labeled Test are a limited exception to the fictional-profile rule.
- Ask members for money through fraud, promote investment or cryptocurrency schemes, solicit commercial sexual services, spam, advertise unrelated businesses, or recruit members to schemes or competing services.
- Infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights, or upload anything you do not have authority to share.
- Scrape, harvest, sell, or republish member information; use bots or unauthorized automation; bypass access controls or rate limits; upload malicious code; or interfere with the service. Do not train AI systems on member content without the necessary permission.
- Use the service for unlawful conduct, to facilitate harm, or in violation of a court order. Do not submit knowingly false reports or misuse a removal process to harass another person.
6. Your content and our limited permission to use it
You retain ownership of the photos, text, and other content you submit. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to provide it and allow the uses described here. Be especially careful with photographs that include another person. Do not disclose identifying information about children or other people without appropriate permission.
You grant us a nonexclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, store, copy, transmit, display, and technically adapt your content only as needed to operate, secure, and provide the service as described in the Privacy Policy. This includes cropping, resizing and formatting photos, displaying your published profile to eligible members, and delivering your messages to their recipients. We may let our service providers perform these functions on our behalf.
This license does not transfer ownership or authorize using your profile in unrelated advertising. It ends when the content is deleted from our systems, except for limited retention permitted by the Privacy Policy or law. Removing content cannot recall copies another person has already saved. We may remove or restrict content that violates these terms or presents a legal or safety concern.
The Boise Meet name, branding, software, and design are owned by us or our licensors. Subject to these terms, you have a limited, personal, nontransferable permission to use the service. No other intellectual-property rights are granted. This restriction does not limit rights that applicable law makes nonwaivable.
7. Meeting people and staying safe
You decide whether and how to communicate or meet with someone. We cannot control another person’s conduct or verify their statements. We do not guarantee compatibility, honesty, availability, health, criminal history, or personal safety. A match, profile, event listing, or moderation decision is not an endorsement.
Use caution: meet in a public place, arrange your own transportation, tell someone you trust about your plans, and protect your financial and personal information. Never send money or sign-in codes to someone you meet here. Respect consent and boundaries at all times. Stop contact when you feel unsafe, and use the report or block tools when appropriate.
Boise Meet is not an emergency service, and reports are not continuously monitored. Call 911 or the appropriate emergency service if anyone is in immediate danger. Reporting someone in the app does not notify law enforcement on your behalf.
8. Events and external services
Event listings may be supplied by independent community groups or organizers. Unless a listing expressly identifies us as the organizer, we do not organize, supervise, insure, or control the event. Confirm dates, location, accessibility, age restrictions, cost, and cancellation terms directly with the organizer. Attendance is your choice and may be subject to separate terms.
External links, including Boise Today, are provided for convenience. We do not control their content, transactions, or privacy practices. Listing an event or linking a website does not imply sponsorship, affiliation, or a guarantee of accuracy or safety.
9. Reporting, moderation, and appeals
Use Report in a profile or conversation menu to flag a concern. For issues you cannot report in the app, account-access problems, or a request to review an enforcement decision, contact hello@makeable.so. Include the relevant profile or content link and a concise explanation. Save relevant evidence before blocking or unmatching if it is safe to do so; those actions may make the conversation unavailable to you.
We may investigate reports, review relevant account information and content, restrict features, remove content, deactivate accounts, or end access for violations, suspected fraud, threats to safety, legal obligations, or material interference with the service. We may act without advance notice when necessary, and may preserve information or cooperate with authorities as permitted or required by law. We do not promise to identify every violation or guarantee an outcome for every report.
You may ask us to reconsider a decision by contacting us with the account email and relevant facts. This does not require disclosing another member’s private information or restoring an account that presents an unresolved risk. We will comply with any review or explanation duties required by applicable law.
10. Nonconsensual intimate-image removal requests
If an intimate image of you was shared without your consent, you or your authorized representative can request removal without an account by emailing hello@makeable.so with the subject “Intimate image removal.” This process covers real and digitally altered or generated depictions.
Include your physical or electronic signature (a typed name is acceptable), a description and profile or image link sufficient to locate the material, a brief statement that you have a good-faith belief it was published without your consent and any relevant supporting information, and contact information so we can respond. If you are acting for someone else, identify your authority. You do not need to resend the image or create a new account to make the request.
For a valid request covered by the federal TAKE IT DOWN Act, we will remove the reported image and make reasonable efforts to identify and remove known identical copies within 48 hours of receiving the request. Other unlawful or prohibited images may also be reported through this channel. Please do not send child sexual abuse material as an attachment. In an emergency, contact law enforcement directly.
11. Copyright and other rights concerns
To report infringement, contact hello@makeable.so with your contact information, a description of the work or right involved, the location of the allegedly infringing content, your authority to act, and an explanation of the concern. For a copyright notice, also include a signature, a good-faith statement that the use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent, or law, and a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are the rights holder or authorized to act for them.
We may request clarification, remove or restrict disputed content, and terminate accounts for repeated infringement in appropriate circumstances. This contact process does not represent that we have registered a designated DMCA agent or that a statutory safe harbor applies. If we establish a formal statutory notice and counter-notice process, its details will be published here.
12. Deactivation, deletion, and termination
You may stop using the service at any time. Deactivate account hides your profile from discovery and prevents normal interaction but retains your data for reactivation. Delete account permanently removes your account and related active application records, and queues photo-storage cleanup as described in the Privacy Policy. Logging out, uninstalling, hiding a conversation, or unmatching is not account deletion.
We may terminate or restrict access as described in these terms. Unless preservation is necessary or legally required, you can request deletion of a terminated account by contacting us. Provisions that by their nature should continue after termination, including content rights for lawful retained copies, liability limits, applicable law, and dispute provisions, continue only to the extent needed for their stated purposes.
13. Service limitations and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement to the extent they may lawfully be disclaimed. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access, prevention of every security incident, or that user content and third-party listings are accurate.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Makeable Brand LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or lost profits, resulting from use of or inability to use the service. Our total liability for claims arising from the service or these terms will not exceed $100 to the extent a monetary limit is enforceable under the law applicable to the claim.
These exclusions and limits do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including applicable statutory remedies. They do not excuse us from our privacy or data-security obligations. Some laws do not allow particular disclaimers or limits; in that case only the permitted portion applies. You remain responsible for your own unlawful conduct; this section does not make you responsible for ours.
14. Applicable law and disputes
Applicable United States federal law and Idaho law govern these terms, without using conflict-of-law rules to displace mandatory protections that apply to you. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, legal proceedings concerning the service or these terms may be brought in the state courts located in Ada County, Idaho, or the United States District Court for the District of Idaho, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. This does not prevent an eligible small-claims proceeding or a complaint to a regulator.
We encourage you to contact hello@makeable.so first so we can try to resolve a concern. Informal contact is not a mandatory prerequisite to suit and does not suspend a legal filing deadline. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or a class-action waiver.
15. Changes and other terms
We will update the effective date when we revise these terms. For material changes, we will provide appropriate notice and obtain renewed agreement where required. Changes will not retroactively alter an existing dispute or eliminate accrued rights. If you do not agree to a change, you can stop using the service and delete your account.
If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited or severed to the extent necessary and the remaining terms will continue. A failure to enforce a provision on one occasion is not a waiver. You may not transfer your account or this agreement without our permission. We may transfer the service and agreement as part of a lawful business reorganization or transfer, subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
These terms and any additional terms you expressly accept for a particular feature form the agreement about that feature and the service. They do not create a partnership, employment relationship, or agency between you and us. No additional obligation is created merely by a future feature being discussed or tested.
Questions, notices, and legal requests should be sent to Makeable Brand LLC at hello@makeable.so.
